An elegant frame encloses two extension leaves, one at each end of the table, and the whole mechanism that pulls them out. To extend the table simply pull the handle at the head of the table and lift the extension leaf with two fingers: the mechanism will immediately lock the extension leaf into place so that it is flush with the table top and edge.
